This notice covers the Local Goods Network Coming Soon website.

Launch updates

If you ask for updates, I save your email address and a record of your consent. If you also provide your name, business name, or business type, I save those details too. I’ll use them for Local Goods Network launch and progress updates. Signing up does not create a store account or purchase a subscription.

Business inquiries

I save the name, organization, email, and message you submit so I can review and respond. Sending an inquiry does not add you to the update list.

Optional member emails

Members can separately opt in to LGN news and product updates or short survey invitations. I record your account email, choices, consent version and the time you save them. Existing accounts are not automatically subscribed. Resend processes recipient addresses and message content to send these emails; LGN keeps campaign and sending-status records. Survey replies go to the reply-to address shown in the email.

Change your choices in email preferences or use the unsubscribe link in any update email, without signing in. Unsubscribing stops optional updates and survey invitations, not essential account or security messages.

Optional customer research

The feedback survey records your contact details and the answers you choose to share about your business, current problems, feature preferences, events, and possible prices. I use these private responses to guide Local Goods Network. Research consent does not subscribe you to launch emails. Beta or conversation interest lets me follow up about that request.

After a quick signup, your browser can briefly remember contact details in this tab to save typing in the optional survey. This is not advertising tracking. Survey answers are sent when you submit, and are not saved as an unfinished response.

When connected, Resend will process a private summary notification to me. The secure database remains the source of record. I do not collect payment information in this survey.

Saved finds and shopping activity

Saved product IDs and followed shop links stay in this browser’s local storage, up to 100 of each. They do not create an account, reserve an item, or subscribe you to emails. Clearing browser data removes them. LGN stores daily aggregate visit and save-action counts to help businesses understand activity. These are not unique customer counts. A session-storage marker limits repeated visit counting in the same browser tab and day.

Reservation links

Reservation requests include the contact details and consent you submit. Your private management link lets you check status or cancel without an account. Keep it private: anyone with that link can manage the reservation. LGN stores a hash of its access token. The fictional shopper demo does not submit customer requests.

Approved pickups and nonprofit details

When you reserve an item or request paper-ticket pickup, LGN records your pickup name, email, selected location/time, consent, and any requested ticket quantity. The business’s authorized staff and assigned pickup contact use these details to prepare and coordinate collection. Resend processes notification recipients and message content. Ticket pickup requests involve payment and paper-ticket delivery in person; LGN does not issue raffle entries.

Pickup contacts’ details remain private unless the business explicitly enables public display. Organization EINs, exemption explanations, and private gaming license notes are limited to the business owner and LGN administrators. Only the organization’s selected public profile details and reviewed raffle disclosures are displayed to visitors.

Beta access requests record basic contact and business information for review and invitations. Requesting access does not require the optional survey or subscribe you to optional marketing emails.

Shop discovery and maps

Approved shops can publish their profile and inventory on the network. Street addresses, coordinates, and phone numbers are displayed only when enabled for public use. The map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives normal technical request information such as your IP address. LGN does not request your device location. Directions links open an external maps service.

Event product requests

When you ask a vendor to bring a product to a fair, I save the event, product, request time and an event-specific keyed browser identifier. A cookie remembers your browser for 90 days so repeated taps on the same product are not counted twice. No name, email or account is required. This does not reserve an item or subscribe you to messages.

The vendor’s authorized administrators and LGN can see product request counts. Individual browser identifiers and request totals are not public. Counts are planning feedback, not verified unique people. Removing a product from an event deletes its associated requests. You may clear the cookie through your browser settings.

Storage and security

I use Vercel to host this site and Supabase to securely store submissions. Access to submissions is limited to authorized platform administrators and the server. I do not sell this information or use advertising trackers.

Abuse protection uses short-lived, keyed hashes of email and connection information. The hosting providers may process technical request logs to operate and protect the service. Team sign-in uses authentication cookies.

Your choices

You can request removal or ask a privacy question at any time. I keep submissions while preparing the launch and handling inquiries, unless you request removal. I will review the list before launch and remove contacts I no longer need. Future update emails include a way to unsubscribe.
